I woke up this morning to find the first snow of the season had fallen in the night. Here's a couple shots of the view from the apartment.

My aunt left to me, among other things, this Chinese Proverb: "In the mud and scum of things something always, always sings." When I saw these photos, that is what came to mind. Stunning!
